In the more than 70-year history of GEICO, there was only one time that they got so many calls that you got a busy signal. And that was when we launched this campaign.
It worked so well we ended up doing 12 spots.
The campaign was parodied on Colbert, Leno, Letterman and 30 Rock.
Google asked us for a filter to weed-out job applicants. We couldn't help but make them a little famous in the process.
One of my favorite ideas ever. We set up living rooms and encouraged people to steal them (the premise being buying the stuff at IKEA was pretty much the same as stealing). The first 'room' was gone in 8 minutes. We thought we had failed. But when it made the evening news, we realized we got about $100,000 of media coverage for our client for about $4,000. IKEA went on to do this many, many more times.
I was very fortunate to work on one of the first campaigns for Truth. Here is a sample.
